Welcome to Flowerdew
I first gained my prefix in 1987. In the 1990's however, as a professional floral designer my work took me all over the country and abroad and the hobby had to be put on hold for a time. Since the turn of the millenium the work load has been purposely reduced to allow me more time to be home based. This has enabled me to return to my love of Siamese and Orientals.
I enjoy showing - my own bred Havanna boy has just made premier - and committee work is not foreign to me having originally had a career in Administrative Banking , aswell as taking on various Administrative roles in my world of flowers.
Understandably then when my Cat Club the Transpennine Orential and Siamese Cat Club was seeking an additional Assisatant Show Manager I volunteered for the job - and got it! My partner Christopher is their Membership Secretary ( and also a pretty good midwife when it comes to kittening!!)
I only have 3 breeding queens at the present - and as you will see several layabouts - the kittens must however be the particular delight. I do not have stud boys at the moment . I still do not have the spare time that is called for when looking after them properly. I do however work closely with Norma Palmer of Styperson Siamese - a good friend of nearly 25 years standing. I owe Norma a lot for the expertise and experience she always shares with me.
